There's bad news for hotels, restaurants, and caterers this festive season. From 6 AM today, 1 October 2026, oil marketing companies have hiked the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹62.50 in Delhi, taking it to ₹2,810. The good news: the domestic 14.2-kg cylinder used in homes remains unchanged.
Here's the full city-wise breakdown.
NEW COMMERCIAL LPG PRICES (19-KG)
| City | New Price | Hike |
|---|---|---|
| Delhi | ₹2,810 | +₹62.50 |
| Kolkata | ₹2,954 | +₹70 |
| Mumbai | ₹2,764.50 | +₹63.50 |
| Bengaluru | ₹2,898 | +₹67 |
| Hyderabad | ₹3,065 | +₹69 |
| Thiruvananthapuram | ₹2,849 | +₹65 |
This is the second straight monthly hike, after a ₹9.50 increase in September.
DOMESTIC CYLINDER: NO CHANGE
Relief for households — the 14.2-kg domestic cylinder stays the same:
→ Delhi: ₹942
→ Kolkata: ₹968
→ Mumbai: ₹941.50
→ Chennai: ₹957.50
Domestic prices have now been unchanged since 7 June 2026 — the fifth month in a row without a revision.
WHY IT MATTERS
Commercial cylinders power India's hotels, restaurants, dhabas, and catering businesses. A price hike right before the festive season (Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali) squeezes margins when demand is at its peak — and those costs often reach customers through slightly higher food bills.
